PCP on DVD - One for the Money

For further proof that I will watch just about anything, I recently decided to check out the film One for the Money, a film adaptation of the first in a very long running novel series by Janet Evanovich.  Despite the film bombing at the box office, I was curious if there was anything redeemable about the film, since I had enjoyed the book.  Turns out, there isn't much here with this movie.

One for the Money - 2012, rated PG-13.  My rating:  5 out of 10.

When reading the book series, Katherine Heigl is not who you'd picture in your head for the character of Stephanie Plum.  On screen here it is hard to believe her as a bounty hunter, even if her character is somewhat inept at the job because she is just starting out.  At least Heigl is not as whiny and annoying as she has been in a lot of her big-screen roles lately.  The film itself is weak, nowhere near as fun or entertaining as the book.  It is perfectly and completely average.  It has a couple moments that will make you smile, but really this is one that you could never see and you wouldn't miss a thing.
