In a bit of news that has me extremely excited - Disney announced today that Joss Whedon, writer and director of The Avengers (as well as the creator of Buffy, Angel, Firefly & Dollhouse), will be returning to write and direct The Avengers 2. This news has me saying "Numfar - do the dance of joy!"*
In addition to returning for The Avengers 2, Whedon will also be helping Marvel to develop a live action TV series from the Marvel Universe. No word yet on what series that will be or what character(s) will be going to the small screen instead of the big screen, except it wont be the Incredible Hulk - Marvel already has a deal in place with Guillermo Del Toro to try and bring that character back to TV.

Love Joss Whedon! What I would love more though is if he did a Buffy movie. I don't care how old they are. I would so totally still see it!
